The Shoyoroll Gi pants on the Blackstar Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi have a really cool ID pocket inside the pants, instead of the jacket on later issues.
The pocket is really cool, but the problem is that it gets in the way sometimes when I’m tying the pants. The rope drawstring on the pants is the worst part. The things falls apart and comes untied constantly. It’s an absolute mess. But the problem is that since the rest of this gi is so clean, it really takes away from the overall performance and look of the gi. I know a lot of my friends who have this gi have just replaced the drawstring on the pants, so I guess I could do that as well.
Even with this problem, these pants are still probably some of the best out there. They’re really strong and will last a long time. Plus, they look great! I think that these are standard on all Shoyoroll gis and I would definitely rank these pants a 9 stars out of 10.
